Welcome to the Home Page of Theatre Knights, Manchester, New Hampshire's premier young people's theatre company which performs out of the Robert A. Baines Auditorium at 9 Notre Dame Avenue in the Queen City.  An active member of the International Thespian Society and the New Hampshire Educational Theatre Guild (NHETG), our company is committed to producing top, professional-quality live theatre, as well as providing its young actors and technicians with a solid and useable background in all aspects of theatre and theatre production.

Any student currently enrolled in the Manchester School District in grades 8 through 12 can become a member of Theatre Knights. Our company operates as a professional regional company would , and is run by its students. There are many areas of participation, including business and stage management, designing and building sets, costumes, props, lights, make-up, publicity and advertising. Our production company is supported by the only full-time theatre curriculum in Manchester, which is also one of a handful in the State.  Those who perform on stage are selected through a competitive audition process. Not everyone who auditions necessarily gets the chance to be on stage, but anyone can be involved in the company if they wish to be.

Feel free to browse our site, or to contact us.  Clicking on "Theatre Knights" at the bottom of the page, the logo at the top of the page, or the link to the side will generate an email.

ELECTIONS: Anyone interested in running for a position on next year's Executive Board should review the job descriptions found on the Constitution Page of this web site.  To put name onto the ballot, write your name, your ID#, and the position you wish to run for on an 81/2 x 11 sheet of paper and give to Mr Benner.  All notifications of running for office must be turned in by the end of school on Friday, May 23rd.

Our Annual International Thespian Awards and Induction Banquet is coming on Thursday, May 29 at the Executive Court Banquet Facility at 1199 South Mammoth Road in Manchester.  Invitations should have already arrived with RSVP cards.  It is important to return or bring in your RSVP as soon as possible, whether you plan to attend or not.  But everyone should seriously consider attending this event.  If you have never been to this banquet, you are in for a wonderful and memorable evening; it is the highlight of our season!  Just ask those who have been in the past.

The banquet begins at 6pm and usually lasts until around 9-9:30.  It is a dress up affair and FAMILY, PARENTS AND FRIENDS ARE NOT ONLY ENCOURAGED TO COME, BUT THEY ARE EXPECTED!  This is the night we celebrate our love of theatre and our accomplishments during the season, including recognizing individuals for their outstanding achievements.  It's our "Tony" night!  We also say goodbye to those seniors leaving for better and brighter horizons next year, and we take a fun and sad look at the past season with slides and reminiscences.  And the food is great!

Those who receive an invitation do not need to pay for anything, except sodas, etc. at the non-alcoholic beverage cash bar.  There is a place for how may guests you will be bringing with you on the RSVP, and each guest will cost $28, which is a portion of the meal and facility rental.  Friends of Theatre Knights, our parent and community support organization covers the rest of the cost, as well as the cost of all those invited each year.

So look for your invitation in the mail.  All dues-paid, participating members of Theatre Knights, as well as our significant contributors and sponsors will each be receiving one.  And remember, anyone eligible for an award and/or membership into the Thespian Society must be there in order to be awarded their honors and/or be inducted.  We look forward to seeing you there!
