NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR: The Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program operates an educational and cultural exchange between the United States and Japan .  I was fortunate and privileged to be a participant in this program in June 2006, when I spent three weeks in Japan immersed in Japan ’s culture and customs.  The production and presentation of this play, which is based on an old Japanese Folktale originating from the hometown of Naoko Koizumi, my translator in Japan , is my way of sharing that experience with my students and the community.

This production was named "Best Production" at State Festival and was presented at the NEW ENGLAND DRAMA FESTIVAL in Warwick, RI.
